woyww? recycled findings from the garden

Had you popped in last Thursday the stuff on the table would just of been in a big pile and all the tools in the boxes would have been out too, that is because as I dug out the potager (VEG PATCH) I found more metal bits and keys and general talismanic findings, and since the wanderlust lesson this week exhorts us to wield the soldering iron... well - as you can see I just got carried away and went from the sublimate the rodonculus....if you get what I mean....

and...I'm late to the desks today because I have had 'stuff to do'  On Monday I took the car for it's CT (la controle technique) = MOT, required every two years...I knew the RdV ( rendez vous appointment) was Mardi 14:00 H and I absoloument know Mardi is Tuesday, but I trusted my memoire and arrived on Monday ( a whole day early). I say this happened because I classify words by first letter:   If I recall first letter (plus a pictorial image  that my brain files with the letter when I first make the memory link) then I usually get the whole word when I need to do recall ( it's how I learnt patient and staff names daily and never forgot a name to a face and a bit of story to make the memory stick) .  So I keep thinking Mardi Is Monday even when I know it is Tuesday.  Anyway - it passed its CT on Tuesday but I needed to get four new tyres so this morning I sorted that out over in Pontivy...No rdV required - heureusement....

I also had my hair cut this morning, and had a lively fluent conversation in French with ma coiffeusse about immigrants ( me) foreign policy ( french) and Le BREXIT - always a good topic of conversation when you are at the mercy of a true european and a french one at that, I self evidently passed the first rule of integration ( speak the lingo) and the second ( take any form of work going no matter the crappy pay) and the third, be prepared to hear that the current government of your country of birth is a laughing stock....and four -  understand and give feed back that France is no better off ( Le Penn)....I felt quite proud of my progress, she met me in the first month of arrival and is very much objective in her feedback of my progress towards integration...I can't be doind too badly as my hair looks terribly Chic...

Nick Bantock ink pad tin cut up and soldered to a key....watch bit filled with a cropped minature my adonnathing logo face I painted eons ago)

On the art front, I like doing assemblage art, I love Man Tools and metal work, I am close enough to the Atlantic coast to get driftwood any time I want to......I adore combining soft fabrics and images with industrial findings, framed by sea bleached wood..., and any excuse to put my dwindling supply of ice resin to use is grabbed with gleeful sticky paws... I also reflected that when I met Susan Lenart Kasmer it predated her union with Ranger...all my product is Ranger Brand free...I'm not sure I am willing to pay their price... here comes yellow epoxy resin... ah well... one cannot begrudge an artist the income to put food on the table eh?  I also realised I could make a fortune on eBay for my industrial chic stuff I bought in a Michael's sale in LA in 2013!  Only I am not a floggit person.  Instead,  I play with the little beauties and then stash them away again for a rainy day when I cannot get out and dig for my assemblage treasure....   by the way - I will get to your desk, but it may not be today,
