woyww? travelogue

Julia Dunnit (click on highlighted links to access the referenced blogs) is not the only globe-trotting WOYWWer.

I have to start at the very beginning (etc). And it's a long tale - I won't tell you about the fridge magnet as I may cause problems of a tena lady kind, and England has seen too much of floods for one summer...but if ever you invite me over I will be happy to divulge...

anyhow, first up pre journey gratitude:  On the morning Jo and I left my house setting off for Slovenia, a package arrived from Sandra De

This is a book (A BOOK) of ATC's as part of the anniversary swap - bear in mind I posted hers without a stamp - never to be seen again - so I was doublechuffed to receive these - I have made her a thankyou concoction that will be winging it's way to Oz pronto...

Jo and I stayed with Cardarian

who showed us all the gloriousness that is Slovenia, and we popped over to Italy (twice)

we made stuff, ate drank, toured, crafted, talked, laughed, cried and became deeply bonded to one another (happily in the emotional sense not with glue)...

I made more stuff at Jo's in Liverpool over the weekend.  Jo now has me hooked on altered perfume vials, I begged her to do you all an online tutorial - you must insist that she does so....

then I made more stuff at Vickie's Stampers, Neet and Lin taught us to make fimo beads and jewelry so now I'm addicted to that too,

and then I made more stuff when I got back to my desk:

Currently my desk is littered with new stamps (cannot show them until Friday - wooo hooo) and the makings of Ann's art doll - in a naked and therefore unphotographed state.  But, here are the things I made with Jo and Dolores,

I suspect I am in making meltdown - I have enough ideas to last me a decade!

so here are highlights,

Before we do some of the Slovenia pictures, I just want to add...Dolores (Cardarian) spent the week organising her pre op (people without an NHS look after these things themselves)>  She had her operation this last Sunday morning.   I know she is recovering and okay - but a few get wells will lift her spirits, please do go see her and give the kind of love only woywwers can.   Not once did she falter in her good humour despite pain and extra activity with Jo and I being house guests.   I cannot tell you how wonderful a Goddess Hostess she is, however I must also add she is fully booked until 2020......

I am journaling my photographs, and my notes are comprehensive in regard to location, culture and history as well as the personal anecdotes, however, for now, here are just a few of my favourites without captions. If you have not yet been to Slovenia you must go and at least visit the caves - it really does change your perception of time and humankinds significance in relation to the grand scheme of things.  Dolores will tell you - it made me cry.  Sadly no photos allowed in the caves and my video didn't come out at all... ah well I will have to go back and sneak in a camera...here are a few that did come out...
